International Business Lounge – Daily during the Show

An International Business Lounge operates at the Queensland Government Centre, Jabiru House, Sanctuary Cove during the Boat Show. This is a facility for internationals wishing to do business with Australian companies, Australian export groups or government agencies. The Lounge operates 9am to 5pm daily during the Boat Show. It is supported by AIMEX, Austrade, the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry, Gold Coast City Council and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.


Smart State Marine Industry Breakfast.

This Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show event is staged Friday, May 23, 2008. The breakfast features Gold Coast City Mayor Cr Ron Clarke MBE who will discuss marine infrastructure plans for Gold Coast City. Another speaker is John Strano from the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry who offers an insight into the Queensland Government's marine industry strategy for the coming five years. The identity of a leading European futurist will surprise breakfast participants with some revealing comments on what is possible, what is preferred and inspiration to create what he calls 'our preferred future'.

Marine Innovation Conference 08

The inaugural 2008 Marine Innovation Conference is a one-day conference and dinner attended by international and Australian marine buyers, manufacturers, builders, operators and executives. Conference attendees will hear speakers discuss different aspects of innovation including innovative technologies, product design, strategies, and environmentally friendly products and processes. The day includes networking opportunities and a keynote address from the Australian Minister for Innovation, Senator the Hon Kim Carr.
